Dr. Sims was Chief Resident at Wayne State University’s Department of Dermatology and Syphilology from 1986 to 1987. In 2001, She was appointed Clinical Instructor in Dermatology at Wayne State School of Medicine. She is certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and is licensed to practice medicine in four states: Michigan, Florida, California, and Georgia.

CAROL SIMS-ROBERTSON, M.D.

Dr. Alexandra Coad, DNP, FNP-C

Alexandra Coad, DNP, FNP-C received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Florida, Gainesville in 2019. She prides herself for being a double Gator, as she also received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida in 2016. With 3+ years of plastic surgery experience, Dr. Alex has since become specialized in the field of Dermatology. Trained by Dr. Carol Sims-Robertson, Dr. Alex has joined our team and is practicing both in medical and aesthetic dermatology procedures. As a St. Pete native, she is thrilled to be back in her favorite city, providing expert skin care and promoting sun safety to all our patients!

Kaitlyn A. Benjamin, MMS, PA-C

Kaitlyn A. Benjamin is a Florida-licensed Physician Assistant (PA) board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She then earned her Masters of Medical Science (MMS) graduate degree and completed the Physician Assistant program at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Kaitlyn completed the Diplomate Fellowship program in dermatology through the Florida Society of Dermatology PAs and is an active fellow of the Society of Dermatology PAs, Academy of PAs and the Florida Academy of PAs.

Kaitlyn offers various medical, cosmetic, and surgical services, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of a full range of skin diseases, with a keen eye for skin cancer detection. She skillfully performs office-based dermatological procedures, including removal and treatment of benign and malignant skin growths. She also offers cosmetic services, such as neurotoxin and dermal filler injectables.

She has been recognized for her superior attention to detail and her ability to make lasting rapports with her patients. With a gentle hand, warm demeanor and compassionate nature, she consistently demonstrates her commitment to producing the best possible results and outstanding patient care.

Kaitlyn is originally from Fort Lauderdale, FL. She enjoys living an active lifestyle, practicing yoga, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with her friends, family, and her puppy, Jack.
