What Are Chemical Peels?
Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin, stimulating renewal using a solution that peels its older layer and stimulates cell regeneration. The new skin is smoother, less wrinkled and may also be more evenly colored. This procedure can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, arms, and legs.
This treatment is used to treat fine lines, reduce wrinkles caused by sun damage, reduce pigmented age spots, dark spots, “liver spots”, mild scarring, and improve certain types of acne (especially blackheads). Sunscreens must be used after these treatments to protect the renewed skin.
