According to the Bureau of Census, the percentage of people in Florida without health insurance is around 12 to 14%. The state is currently ranked 4th in the highest number of uninsured people in the country – only Texas, Oklahoma, and Georgia have higher uninsured rates. Even in the Tampa Bay area, many people are not able to get the medical skin care they need for themselves and for their loved ones. Access to affordable health care can remain a challenge for many.
That’s why Divine Dermatology wants to give an opportunity for the uninsured and under-insured in Saint Petersburg and the surrounding communities. This event is designed to those who are desperately needing to see a dermatologist but are unable to because of their lack of insurance. We will be accepting patients on a first-come, first-serve basis starting at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 27th, 2018.
This event will be held at our office, the address is 2191 9th Avenue North Suite 100, St. Petersburg, FL 337103. We will be doing medical skin checks, consultations. Biopsies will be conducted if they are needed. We will also provide sample medications and products free of charge.
